A game development environment made from the perspective of a creator, sysdolphin is composed of three different tools: Sound Tool; Game Engine, composed of the various libraries needed when developing games; and 3D CG Production Tool, made up of original plug-ins for Maya and Photoshop, a particle editor, and a viewer that allows creators to check model data in real time on the GameCube. Using these tools designers could, for example, check out the CG they create in the actual console environment without having to bother the programming team, thus allowing programmers to focus on actual game programming. Adopted for use in various game development projects including the hit game Super Smash Bros. Melee, this reliable toolset reflects the actual demands of the development environment and has been provided to a wide variety of third party developers through Nintendo Co., Ltd.
